The Second IASTED International Conference on ALLIANCES, MERGERS, AND ACQUISITIONS
Firms use alliances, mergers, and acquisitions to acquire new resources, expand their capabilities, and to strengthen their position in competitive environments. In the last decade, the business community has had the opportunity to observe the effects of these strategies across many industries. While very promising, alliances, mergers, and acquisitions are complex, and have often led to undesirable results. The aim of this conference is to act as a forum for the exchange of information and experiences among experts from academia, business, and government on this interdisciplinary subject.
Date: November 8-10, 2004
Location: MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA
