International conference at Central CT State University in New Britain, CT discussing the evolution of the Polish community in North America convened to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first permanent Polish settlement in North America. Co-hosted by the S. A. Blejwas Endowed Chair in Polish Studies at CCSU and the Polish American Historical Association and sponsored by the Piast Foundation and the Institute for Diaspora and Ethnic Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
