This international conference will bring together some of the foremost experts in academia, government and industry to investigate whether or not new media live up to promises of increasing the power and scope of research initiatives in the Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts.
Scholars from Canada, the United states and Europe will discuss their experiences and their research expectations, investigate how digital multimedia technologies can and are being applied to research, and analyze the costs and benefits. Topics discussed will range from the development of virtual communities and envirnoments, culture and heritage in the digital age through to computer creation of art.
