The Prosopography Centre aims to serve the historical community
regardless of chronological emphasis.
<>Please take a moment to visit our website and tell us about your own work and interests by filling in the directory questionnaire. We would also like to know what resources you would like to see available from the Centre, so send us an email or fill out the comments field in the directory form.
The Centre's goals are:
- to develop a guide to prosopography, which will enable specialists
to keep abreast of new developments in the field and act as a first
point of reference for newcomers
- to provide prosopographers with an account of the range of computer
options available, and a software template amenable to customization
and capable of being displayed on the internet
- to develop teaching programmes whereby students and their
supervisors can be assured of a firm grounding in the discipline
- to pool expertise by offering ways for groups or individuals to find
collaborators in other parts of the world
