The seminar addresses issues related to the transmission of the folktale both in the written and the oral tradition in the Bible, in classical literature and in the Iberian Peninsula from the Middle Ages to the present. It may be of interest for scholars working in the fields of Spanish literature, oral/written culture, folklore.
The course will take place at the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo in its Valencia (Spain) site (Palau Pineda, Plaça del Carme, 4. VALENCIA), between November 2-5, 2004. The language of the presentations will mainly be Spanish, but there will also be presentations in Catalan and Portuguese. The complete schedule of presentations follows:
