This international, inter-disciplinary conference conference (November 11-12, 2004) will examine social policies and their outcomes from multiple perspectives and assess current challenges to social progress. Topics include, "Can we Afford Social Welfare in a Global Economy?," "The Future of the Social Democratic Model," and "Social Policy and Populations with Special Needs."
