The Encyclopedia of Politics: The Left and Right
We are inviting academic editorial contributors to the Encyclopedia of Politics: The Left and Right for the last submission deadline of July 1, 2004. Some 75 articles are newly available for assignment.
This is a two-volume encyclopedia for public libraries and undergrad college libraries to be published by Sage Publications. The work is made up of some 500 articles, delineated by left-wing and right-wing viewpoints both in the United States and internationally. Article topics include the people, events, movements, philosophies, theories, and perspectives of political thought, from the late 1700s through today.
Each article, ranging from 400 to 5,000 words is signed by the contributor. The General Editor for the encyclopedia is Dr. Rodney P. Carlisle, Professor Emeritus, Rutgers University, who will review all the articles for academic consistency.
If you are interested in contributing to the encyclopedia, it can be a notable publication addition to your resume and broaden your publishing credits. There is also a small honorarium paid for each article, $25 to $135, depending on article length. For this last submission, articles are due July 1, firm. A free set of the encyclopedia ($200 value), in addition to the honoraria, is offered to contributors who handle 10 or more articles by the deadline.
The list of available articles is already prepared, and as a next step we e-mail you the article list (Word file) from which you can select topics that best fit your expertise and interests. Additionally, you will receive Style Guidelines that detail article specifications and honoraria payments.
