The Gulf Coast Consortium of Latin American Colonialists invites paper proposals from faculty, graduate students and independent scholars on topics related to the conference's theme. We seek to bring together scholars working on Caribbean, United States, and Latin American colonial topics in a comparative framework or on themes of common interest such as Native Peoples’ Diasporas, reactions to colonial rule, etc. etc. Proposals should be no more than 200 words in length and are due no later than October 15th, 2004. Papers will be due by January 14th, 2005. Attendance by all interested scholars is heartily encouraged.
