The Gulf Coast Consortium of Latin American Colonialists invites faculty, graduate students and independent scholars to its second annual conference to be held at Tulane University, New Orleans on February 18-19, 2005. The conference's theme “Peoples and Institutions of the Colonial Americas” seeks to bring together scholars working on Caribbean, United States, and Latin American colonial topics in a comparative framework or on themes of common interest such as Native Peoples’ Diasporas, reactions to colonial rule, etc. etc. Attendance by all interested scholars is heartily encouraged.
