Nature and Culture in the Northern Forest Symposium
|
|
You are invited to join a select group of scholars, educators, forestry and recreation professionals, artists, writers, and activists at the ASLE Nature and Culture in the Northern Forest Symposium, June 4-6, 2004. Located in the heart of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, this intimate regional discussion about Northern Forest studies will be a truly interdisciplinary event, bringing together participants from inside and outside academe and from a diversity of fields concerned about the future of what is a frequently contested region. The symposium will integrate field workshops, including interpretive workshops near the conference center and hikes on nearby mountains, with panel sessions and roundtable discussions. Featured speakers include John Elder, Jay Craven, Kent Ryden, Clare Walker Leslie, Tom Wessels, Paul Wanta, and many others.
