Call for essays on the theme of “Reproduction and Photography”. Submissions will be considered as a proposal for a 15,000-word chapter for publication in an upcoming book about photography. Submissions should include: a 5-10 page paper on “Reproduction and Photography” (as example of writing style and approach to content), an outline of the entire chapter (including authors and artists that will be cited), and a resume.
The goal for the chapter is to provide a thorough introductory overview of “Reproduction and Photography”, WHILE offering readers who already have this basic knowledge other alternative ways of considering this theme. Submissions should do the following: provide a thorough overview of "reproduction and photography"; address historical instances of reproduction through to digital repercussions; use a diverse variety of artists and photographers' work as example throughout; introduce other writers' theories and texts; propose inventive possibilities of how to reconsider "reproduction and photography" in comparison with other related reproductive instances (ex: cloning or literary translation).
