American Sexuality Magazine
National Sexuality Resource Center
San Francisco State University
American Sexuality Magazine seeks articles focused on sexual health, sexuality education, and sexual rights in the United States for immediate and future publication. American Sexuality is the on-line magazine published by San Francisco State University’s National Sexuality Resource Center (NSRC), directed by anthropologist Gilbert Herdt, Ph.D. with major long-term funding from the Ford Foundation.
Researchers, faculty, graduate students, and community based advocates are encouraged to submit brief proposals (100-200 words) for articles concerning sexual health, sexuality education, and sexual rights in the U.S.
Publishing in American Sexuality is a unique opportunity to disseminate your research and expertise in a widely read, internationally accessible medium aimed at informing academics, community based advocates and the general public about the critical gaps in sexuality research and policy.
The published article will be 1000 words and written in a very accessible, non-academic style.
Please visit American Sexuality magazine and the NSRC website at: http://nsrc.sfsu.edu
Please contact Cymene Howe, Ph.D., Managing Editor at cymene@sfsu.edu or 415-437-1472 with questions and proposals for articles.
The National Sexuality Resource Center gathers and disseminates the latest accurate information and research on sexual health, education, and rights. Through active outreach to advocates, academics, researchers, policy makers, and diverse communities, NSRC initiates constructive dialogues, both online and face-to-face, about sexuality to promote social justice and improve the quality of life in the United States.
