“Food, Music, and Identity: The Flavors and Sounds of Tejas.”

Emphasizing cultural diversity and expressions of Tejas experiences through artistic, cultural, literary, and scholarly productions, NACCS and Chicana/o scholars are invited to submit papers, exhibits, performances or cultural productions for the Tejas Foco Conference at the University of Texas Pan American. The conference incorporates a multidisciplinary understanding of scholarship and performance and therefore accepts papers and productions from a wide range of disciplines. While the primary theme for the conference centers on Food, Music, and Identity, other topics related to the Chicana/o experience in Tejas are also welcomed. A 100-250 word abstract should be submitted for the paper, panel, exhibit, performance, or other.
