Ricardo Griswold del Castillo, professor of Mexican-American history at SDSU, will speak about the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo that brought an end to the Mexican-American War and allowed the US to acquire California and much of the Southwest. Professor Griswold del Castillo will trace the legacy of the treaty and discuss the various ways in which it continues to affect US-Mexican relations and Hispanic rights.
Reservations are encouraged, and the $5 admission charge ($3 for members) includes light refreshments.
