On the occassion of the 90th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War the Scottish Centre for War Studies (University of Glasgow) and the Open University are organising a large international conference. It will address the war's origins, a question that remains as contested as ever. Based on the latest research and new evidence, leading experts in the field wiil re-visit this 'long debate' and examine the outbreak and the first months of the war.
The organisers warmly invite everyone who has an interest in the First World War to attend.
