The Danish Research Academy for Historical Studies and the History Department at the Institute of History and Area Studies, University of Aarhus, invite Ph.D. students to participate in the second Summer School in Contemporary History, Aarhus (Denmark)from August 14th to August 19th 2004. The theme is European Experiences 1945-2004 - Global, Regional and National. The Summer School is open to all interested Ph.D.-Students.
The aim of the Summer school is threefold. The first aim is to broaden the knowledge of the participating Ph.D. students on central aspects of European history after the Second World War by means of lectures by and discussions with prominent scholars. The second aim is to provide a forum, including these prominent scholars, for presentation and discussion of papers written by the participating Ph.D. students. Last but not least, the aim is to bring together Ph.D. students from different countries to enable the formation of Ph.D. networks across national boarders.
