Each year, Frühe Neuzeit Interdisziplinär (FNI), the society for early modern German studies, sponsors a set of sessions at the Sixteenth-Century Studies Conference, which will convene in Toronto, 28-30 October 2004. FNI welcomes abstracts of 300-500 words for individual papers or sessions in all fields of early modern German studies (including history of art and music, literature, history of science, and all subfields of religious and social history) for the period 1450-1660. While all topics are considered, papers with an interdisciplinary focus or sessions that incorporate different disciplines are especially encouraged. A “New Directions” panel will serve as a forum for emerging scholars and developing trends in the field.
