CALL FOR PAPERS
Fall 2004 Washington History Thematic Issue Comemmorating the 50th Anniversary of the Brown v. Board and Bolling v. Sharpe Decisions
We are interested in articles that investigate the local history of the Brown and Bolling decisions in Washington, D.C. Though we would be eager to hear from anyone working on this topic, we are particularly interested in articles that investigate the following:
- Leadership/role of Howard University
- Consequences of desegregation on Washington schools or community
- Biographical treatments of important players in the local history of these cases
