Call for Papers
Studies In The Social Sciences, a journal devoted to interdisciplinary scholarship, announces a call for papers for its 2004 issue entitled “(Un)healthy Interiors: Contestation at the intersection of public health and private space.” The editors are soliciting manuscripts from a range of disciplines within the social sciences, medical sciences and humanities that address the social dimensions of state public health policies, particularly with regards to public health campaigns and public hospitals. The editors welcome papers that focus on any region of the world since 1850.
Studies In The Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal. Three paper copies of manuscripts of 4,000-7,000 words should be submitted in recent versions of either Corel Word Perfect or MS Word (initially, electronic versions will be accepted for review) and prepared according to the guidelines in Turabian’s A Manual for Writers. The Author's name should appear only on a cover sheet. Studies In The Social Sciences reviews only unpublished manuscripts that are not currently under review for publication elsewhere. The deadline for receipt of manuscripts is June 1, 2004.
