Digital Preservation and Management, April 13, 2004, Kellogg Center, East Lansing, Michigan
An ever-increasing amount of content is being created and maintained in digital formats. Archivists, librarians, museum staff and records management personnel are recognizing the need to develop policies and procedures that address what digital content to preserve and how to preserve it, both for access and for archival purposes. On April 13, 2004, MLC is offering a special program on Digital Preservation and Management, taught by noted preservation expert Tom Clareson, of Digital Collection & Preservation Services, OCLC.
Staff from all types of libraries, archives, and museums will leave the program with an understanding of the concepts of content, context, structure, reliability, and authenticity of digital materials and how they relate to preservation. For further information and to register, go to:
