THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL FOR THE PROMOTION OF HISTORY (CCPH) is extending a call for papers to be presented at its 24th annual conference--RENDEZVOUS IN THE REDWOODS: Exploring California's Regional Histories--September 23-25, 2004, at the Red Lion Inn in Eureka, California.

Prospective presenters are encouraged to develop sessions or invididual papers around regional and environmental history; topics pertinent to the North Coast are especially sought. We can also help you develop symposia or workshops combined with day trips or tours at sites that connect with your topic. Conference registration (single day minimum) is required for all presenters.

If you would like to participate in the conference, please submit an abstract for your 20-minute paper or 1.5-hour session (100-200 words) along with your name (or all presenters names), affiliation(s), contact information (including email), and audio-visual requirements by APRIL 15, 2004, to:
