There is an outstanding program to bring a group of researchers and other interested parties to spend 8 days with local scholars and practitioners of Ayahuasca in indigenous communities of Brazil and Peru. Peru in July and Brazil in August. The purpose of the tour is to participate in guided research, observation and optional immersion in Indigenous age-old psychological practices. The study tour costs $1,800, and it includes all ground activities, food, lodging, ecological tours, archeological visits, site tourings, and the cultural activities with the leaders and members of the communities. The hosts are several scholars from the local universities, leading Shamans, as well as leaders of the indigenous NGOs.
