Please contact me if you are interested in participating in a panel at the 2005 AHA Meeting in Seattle (Jan. 6-9). I am looking for papers pertaining to the connections between European Imperialism, Migration and Human Displacement. My own paper, based on recent archival research in France, will delve into the French conquest of Indochina and the exile of Vietnamese insurgents to the "old colonies" (New Caledonia, Guadeloupe, Guiana, Reunion Island) as forced laborers. The deadline for the panel proposal is 16 Feb. 2004 so I will need to hear back from you soon.
