European Studies and the International Studies Curriculum Conference at Slippery Rock University

Slippery Rock University in co-operation with the University of Pittsburgh is hosting a conference for all disciplines on topics relating to teaching the New Europe, Old Europe, and/or the place of Europe in view of changes occurring as a result of the formation of the European Union. The keynote speaker during the conference will be Professor Tony Judt, Remarque Professor of European Studies and Director of the Remarque Institute at New York University. Professor Judt will also be delivering a public lecture on Friday April 2 at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by a reception. The conference at SRU will be held on April 3, and will include a workshop on "Teaching the European Union: Approaches and Resources" conducted by staff members of the University of Pittsburgh Center for the European Union.
