The theme for the 2004 Conference is Great Technology for Collections, Confluence and Community. Join us in Minnesota where countless lakes, creeks and streams flow together to give rise to the mighty Mississippi, the first super network of our Nation. Minneapolis, the first great metropolis at the headwaters of this life-giving waterway, will be the perfect site for the 2004 MCN conference where we will focus on how museums, libraries, and archives put great technology into action to build communities around our collective cultural heritage. The famed Skyways of Minneapolis, a network of sheltered walkways connecting buildings downtown, will serve to remind us how important it for us to focus on building communities and collaborating with one another. And of course, the Mall of America, will symbolize how the MCN conference has always been the "One-Stop Shopping" place for learning about all of the technology museums have implemented. Who knows, it might even inspire us to build a golf course inside our museum!!
