The graduate students of the Department of Germanic Languages and
Literatures are pleased to announce an upcoming conference in German and European Studies. "(Re)Visions: New Ideas in German and European
Studies" will be a forum for emerging theorists and scholars in the areas of German Studies and European Studies. Furthering the disciplines in which they work and learn, young(er) researchers examine, critique, discuss, and interact with the work of their predecessors, while simultaneously offering their own theories and ideas. The graduate students and junior scholars of today change the faces of their disciplines and are crucial elements of the developing academic world(s).
With this in mind, the conference organizers call for papers for the
panels listed below. Anyone interested is also encouraged to submit
their best seminar paper or papers that may not fit into one of the
panels listed, as panels are still being added.
Presentations should be no longer than 20 minutes and should be in
English. Abstracts may be submitted in either English or German, and must be submitted by 15 January 2004.
