The American Antiquarian Society's Summer Seminar in the History of the Book in American Culture will take place at AAS from Sunday, June 20, through Friday, June 25, 2004.
Philip F. Gura, Newman Distinguished Professor of American Literature and Culture at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will lead the 2004 seminar, entitled "Enriching American Studies Scholarship through the History of the Book." Visiting guest faculty will include James N. Green, Associate Librarian at the Library Company of Philadelphia, and Eliza Richards, Assistant Professor of English at Boston University.
The priority deadline for applications is March 15, 2004.
