This is a Call for Papers for a proposed edited book collection of essays on "Implenting the _Brown v. Board of Education_ decision: School Desegregation in the U.S., 1954-1976." The editors foresee a collection of 10-12 essays, each dealing with the struggles over school desegregation in different U.S. states, with representation nationwide. We foresee a collection examining primarily how African Americans and other supporters of school desegregation attempted to implement the _Brown_ decision to bring about school desegregation. Publication timetable has not been set. Interested or potential contributors, please respond off-list to Brian Daugherity via email.
