In celebration of the 125th anniversary of Kazimir Malevich’s birth (1879-1935), The Malevich Society is organizing a scholarly conference under the title, “Rethinking Malevich”. The two-day conference will be held on Friday and Saturday February 6-7, 2004, in the Elebash Recital Hall of The Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York, located at 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street in New York City. The conference promises to be an historic event, featuring presentations by an international and renowned group of scholars. Among them are leading researchers in the field from the USA, Russia, the Netherlands and New Zealand. The preliminary conference program and the abstracts of the presentations are available on The Malevich Society’s web-site.
