This essay collection seeks to explore the textual dynamics of religious struggles and conflicts in 20th Century German Literature. We invite essays and/or proposals which explore various manifestations of religious experiences and crises. We encourage a plurality of theoretical approaches, including, but by no means limited to, Gender Studies, Psychoanalysis, rhetorical and hermeneutic approaches, Intellectual History, Religious Studies, etc.
Deadline for abstracts: 15 February 2004. Deadline for completed 4500-6000 word manuscripts: 30 August 2004.
Send abstracts of 300-500 words and a brief vita to both Olaf Berwald and Gregor Thuswaldner (send your submissions simultaneously to both editors).
