We seek papers which explore any aspect of Gregg Toland's films, biography or cinematography. Also we welcome papers in related areas: film history, theory, WWII documentaries, popular culture, etc. for centenary symposium Sept 24-25, 2004.

Gregg Toland, internationally renowned and award-winning cinematographer (Wuthering Heights, Citizen Kane, Grapes of Wrath, Best Years of Our Lives, many others), was born in Charleston, Illinois in 1904. For more information on Toland Centennial Celebration, go to our website.
