The 21st Century History: Contemporary Problems of Historical Studies
CALL FOR PAPERS
Belarusian State University invites scholars from different domains of history, philosophy, linguistics and literary studies, social and natural sciences who work at the interdisciplinary spheres to take part at the International Conference «The 21st Century History: Contemporary Problems of Historical Studies», held in Minsk, Belarus, 15–16 April 2004.
Proposed topics for discussion:
History, Historiography and Philosophy of History: Elite Self-reflection or Search for Perspectives;
Historical Anthropology And Cultural history;
Social History: Macro- And Microstructures, Values, Experiences;
History of Mentalities, popular culture, microhistory, oral history: individual and collective levels;
Dimensions of «social»: everyday life history and material culture history;
Contemporary Approaches in Studies of Historical Sources;
From History of Women to Gender Studies;
Relations of Power: Objects, Hierarchy, Semiotics, Anthropology;
Synergetic Vision of History: Synergetic as Scientific Paradigm of Open Social System, Problem of Choice in History, Non-Linear And Pluralistic Nature of History, Place and Role of Historical Computing in Synergetic Paradigm, Interdisciplinary Dialogue.
Applications deadline is February 1, 2004. Deadline for the abstracts: March 1, 2004.
