Feminism & Classics IV Conference, "Gender and Diversity in Place"

Conference highlights: Keynote speaker, Anne Haeckl on the Fayum
portraits of Roman Egypt. A staged reading of Plautus' Persa, translated as Iran Man by Amy Richlin and directed by Mary-Kay Gamel, followed by panel discussion. The program of panels, sessions, and workshops presents original archaeological, art historical, literary, historical and papyrological papers that represent the breadth of the ancient Mediterranean world geographically and chronologically, including Bronze Age to late antiquity, the Near East, Egypt, Greece and the farthest extent of Rome.
