François Colbert and Neil Kotler, two of the most renowned experts of cultural marketing.
22nd – 24th January 2004 Fondazione Fitzcarraldo organises in Turin the International Workshop – New Marketing Approaches in Museums, Heritage and Performing Arts, held by two of the most authoritative experts in the field – François Colbert and Neil Kotler.
François Colbert: author of the book “Marketing for Heritage and the Performing Arts” translated into seven languages, is Full Professor of Marketing at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal. He is also editor of the International Journal of Arts Management and he published over 100 articles and scientific papers.
Neil Kotler: co-author of the volume “Marketing for Museums” together with his brother Philip Kotler is one of the managers of the Smithsonian Institution of Washington, D.C.; he was a lecturer at Dartmouth College, at Georgetown University and at Texas University, Austin.
International Workshop includes plenary sessions and two parallel workshops devoted to marketing approaches in Museums and Heritage and Performing Arts.
The main purpose of the seminar is sharing a methodological framework and acquire some practical tools necessary to retain and develop the audience, to diversify sources of income and to successfully compete in line with one’s cultural and artistic mission.
The International Workshop is addressed to:
Managers and practitioners working both in museums and heritage as well as in arts organizations
Practitioners in marketing, communication and the organization of events and exhibitions
Marketing experts and consultants
People interested in the subject
The seminar will also include the presentation of case studies on audience development activities particularly relevant to the Italian context.
The subscription fee amounts to € 900,00 (+ 20% VAT). Those who will sign in within November 30th 2003 will get a 15% reduction on the subscription fee. Applications must arrive by January 9th 2004.
