Dear Senior Colleagues/Colleagues/Students:
You are invited to submit papers for presentation and possible publication at the next Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations slated for June 24 - 27, 2004, at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library, University of Texas, Austin, Texas, USA.
The theme of the conference is "Borderlands, Frontiers, Peace, and War." The purpose is to highlight some of the recent innovations in cultural history, cultural studies, and military history as they pertain to diplomatic history under the theme of borderlands, frontiers, peace, and war. Proposals are welcomed from scholars focusing on politics, economics, and inter-state relations.
The session that I plan to organize/coordinate during the meeting is titled: "Nigeria: Borderlands, Frontiers, Peace, and War in the Twenty-First Century."
Your proposal must have session name, paper titles and abstracts (not more than 100 words), a page vita, and e-mail address/mailing address, and a phone number.
The deadline is November 28, 2004. All correspondence must be by e-mail. Please forward proposal as an attachment preferably words document.
