Applications for graduate courses in maritime history are being accepted by The Frank C. Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies for the summer of 2004. Students may participate for credit in any of three courses: "America and the Sea," "Maritime History Seminar," and "Independent Research," all of which are accredited through Trinity College, the University of Connecticut, and Wesleyan University. Housed on the grounds of its parent organization, Mystic Seaport, The Museum of American and the Sea, students will have access to the G. W. Blunt White Library. The Library holds 75,000 volumes and a manuscript collection of approximately 700,000 logs, journals, business records, and correspondence. In addition to the library, students have access to the museum's collection of vessels and artifacts. Admissions are rolling through May. Visit webpage for application.
