The conference will address:
- The limits of deconstruction analysis and postmodern theory in facing the cultural "walls".
- The fallacy that the same globalization lingo generated by the corporate world can also serve to decipher its effects.
- The meanings and effects of "walls" on film making/producing/distributing.
- The ‘walls’ that are constructed by mainstream television and cinema and its newspeak.
- The existence of "walls" as metaphorical barriers between cinematic language and its referent, and between cinematic genres, structures, times and spaces.
