The Chicago Seminar on Sport and Culture invites you to a public lecture by Prof. Kimball Richard I. Kimball, Dept.of History, BYU on Nov. 14, 2003 at 3:30 PM.

"To An Athlete Dying Young': Kenny Hubbs, Memory, and the Chicago Cubs."

The paper looks at Hubbs's career (1962 Rookie of the Year killed in a plane crash in 1964) and then examine the ways that people have used his death and attempted to perpetuate his memory.
