The Global Social Change Research Project makes available reports describing global social, demographic and political changes over the last several decades. These reports are free and are hopefully useful to social science teachers, students, researchers and to the general public.
The reports show that there has been, overall, improvement in living conditions such as infant mortality rates, literacy and political freedom. However, improvements were not equally distributed. More developed countries, on average, had more improvement than did less developed countries, on average. Several less developed countries also had worsening conditions.
These reports present the trends and indicate where data can be obtained by students and researchers for their own research. These reports are available at http://gsociology.icaap.org/reports.html
