UPDATE
This is an update to alert those of you interested in attending the
Southwest-Texas PCA/ACA Conference to the extension of the deadline for submissions to the Hitchcock panel. The deadline is now NOVEMBER 15, 2003.
The Southwest Texas Popular Culture Association and American Culture
Associtiation will once again be sponsoring sessions on the work and
career of ALFRED HITCHCOCK. The 25th annual SW/TX PCA/ACA Conference
will be held, in conjunction with the National PCA Conference, April 7-10, 2004 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, TX.
Please consider delivering a paper on any aspect of Hitchcock and his
work. Essays are welcome from any theoretical or critical perspective,
including those that focus on specific texts as well as those that
explore larger concerns of Hitchcock's career. Moreover, essays that
trace cultural and/or textual influences on Hitchcock's films or his
influence upon other directors, artists, and critics are especially
welcome. These are just a few of the rich and strange possibilities in
the world of Hitchcock studies. So, please consider joining us at this
year's conference.
Direct abstracts to Jason Landrum via the email address below. Abstracts
should be limited to 500 words. The deadline for submission of abstracts is NOVEMBER 15, 2003.
For information about the conference and hotel, please consult the
conference web site. Check-in periodically for updates, and we look forward to seeing you in April.
