Call For Papers for a Special Issue of Educational Gerontology!
“Special Edition on Issues and Challenges Affecting Pre- and Post-Retirement Among Faculty”

This special edition of Educational Gerontology will include refereed papers that deal with pre and post-retirement issues related to faculty retirement including, but not limited, to the following:
- demographic patterns and projections,
- retirement planning and decision-making,
- administrative issues,
- impact of the end of mandatory retirement,
- retirement incentive plans,
- retirement activities,
- lifelong involvement in institutional life, and
- retiree organizations.
Papers are solicited that focus also on the human side of faculty retirement. Only those papers
which survive the peer review process will be included in the special issue.
Papers must range in length from 15-20 double-spaced pages and conform to the specifications
contained in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition, 2000.
Papers must be accompanied by a single-spaced abstract of 150-250 words on a separate page.
Papers for this special issue should be submitted by May 1, 2004 in hard copy or electronic format
to the address below.

- Please contact editor Lorraine T. Dorfman by mail or e-mail if you have a paper in mind but
are unsure whether it is appropriate for this special issue.
- Submit two copies of your paper to Lorraine T. Dorfman, hard copy or electronic, by
May 1, 2004. Use the standard paper format for Educational Gerontology.
