The 7th Central American Historical Congress will take place on the campus of the National Autonomous University of Honduras in Tegucigalpa, July 19-23, 2004.
Final deadline for receipt of proposals for papers and complete sessions is February 29, 2004.
Paper sessions will be divided into 16 thematic symposia, including:
- Archives, sources, and documentation centers
- Central America and the international community
- Agrarian history
- Colonial history
- Cultural history
- History of education and teaching of history
- History of ideas and historiography
- Economic history
- Political history
- History and archaeology
- History and the environment
- History and gender
- History and literature
- Ethnic identity and mestizaje
- Social movements
- Migrations and settlement
The official language of the congress will be Spanish.
