The Zeta Iota Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at Texas Tech University requests paper and panel proposals for the West Texas regional conference. The meeting will concentrate on the history of the American Southwest but papers from all historical fields are encouraged.
Each proposal should include a one-page abstract including address, phone number, e-mail address, school and chapter. Panel proposals should include an abstract designating a contact person and outlining the purpose and content of the session. Presentations may employ a traditional scholarly format or may be less formal incorporating art, music, and/or computer graphics.
Papers should be 10 to 12 pages long and be presented in 20 minutes. The deadline for submission of abstracts is November 17, 2003 and final papers should be received by February 1, 2004.
Undergraduate and graduate students alike are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas and get to know fellow historians and future colleagues.
