We want to facilitate a coming together of diverse migrant experiences. Therefore, we have chosen the conference theme of comparing migrant experiences across different ethnic groups. The idea of the event is that papers on Irish experiences will be given alongside papers on, for example, Kurdish migrants or Turkish migrants, etc. In addition to the academic papers, we also want to celebrate the cultural diversity and creativity of migrant groups and so we will be inviting poets, musicians and artists to come along to the conference. Within the broad theme of migration there is ample scope for all disciplines and research interests.
