I would like to draw your attention to the Working Lives web site, an online project of Work and Organisational Studies, University of Sydney, that promotes research into the role of the individual in labour and social history. Enquiries and contributions are welcome. Please contact me at the email address below; a link to Working Lives is also below my address details.
WOS and the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History are also conducting a conference, "Struggling for Recognition, the individual in Labour History", on 21 November at the University of Sydney. The November 2004 edition of the journal Labour History will feature a thematic section based on papers presented at the conference. For further information on the conference go to: http://www.econ.usyd.edu.au/wos/workinglives/conference.html
