Preparations are currently being made for the annual meeting of the Michigan Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters. The Academy is a multidisciplinary society focused on promoting the exchange of scholarly work. This year the meeting will be held on the Pew campus of Grand Valley State University, March 5-6, 2004. The abstract deadline is Nov. 6, 2003. Abstract forms and other information can be found on the Michigan Academy web site or by contacting the section chair. Abstracts of papers on any appropriate topic are welcome. For this coming meeting of the History of Science and Technology section, part of the session will be organized around the theme of “Learning from Scientific and Technological Disasters.” Thus, the section especially seeks paper proposals that fit within this topic. For further information, contact the section chair.
