The program committee for the Phi Alpha Theta Southwest Regional Conference welcomes paper proposals from undergraduate and graduate students in history and related fields dealing with the theme “Defining Boundaries.” Boundaries can be conceptualized spatially, legally, socially, politically, culturally, or intellectually. The committee invites paper proposals dealing with any geographic region as well as any time period. Phi Alpha Theta membership is not necessary to participate in this conference, but members are encouraged to submit a proposal. The committee also invites those interested in participating in the conference as panel commentators. Participants located outside the Southwest are welcome.
Join us in Tempe for an opportunity to present your ideas to undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the region. Please send a one-page abstract including the title of the paper, your name, and your university affiliation to the email address below. Those interested in participating as a commentator, please send your request to the same email address.
All submissions should be received by November 15, 2003.
