This panel welcomes papers on the contemporary construction of memory related to the period of the military governments in Latin America. Aspects of such memory include Truth and Reconciliation Commissions, history and historiography of the period, literature, music, cinema, monuments, human rights groups and all aspects of contemporary memory.
