Submissions are invited for a special edition of Shofar: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Jewish Studies, dealing with race and Jews in American culture.

We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary essays that think about how Jews and the idea of Jewishness have impacted American racial and cultural history; how both race and Jewishness intersect with the development of American popular culture; and how American racial and cultural history helped to form contemporary Jewish identity.
