The 2004 National Meeting of the PCA/ACA will be held in San Antonio, Texas, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel. Further details regarding the conference can be found at our website.

Proposals are now being accepted for the American Metafiction: Post 1945 Area. Listed below are some suggestions for presentations, but topics not included here are also welcome.

Role of popular culture in metafiction
Influence of metafiction on postmodernism art, literature, and theory
The politics of metafiction
Similarities or comparisons between visual art or film and metafiction
Feminist/Marxist/other theoretical critiques of metafiction
Papers on the novels of Donald Barthelme, William Gass, John Barth, David Markson, Thomas Pynchon, Robert Coover, and others
And much more...
